April is National Native Plant Month
April is National Native Plant Month. U.S. efforts to recognize the importance of native plants on a national level were first introduced as a bi-partisan Senate Resolution in 2021 by former Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) and Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI). Each year since then, bi-partisan Senate Resolution co-sponsors have worked to ensure the U.S. continues to recognize the importance of native plants to the overall health of our ecosystem.
