April is National Native Plant Month
April is National Native Plant Month. U.S. efforts to recognize the importance of native plants on a national level were first introduced as a bi-partisan Senate Resolution in 2021 by former Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) and Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI). Each year since then, bi-partisan Senate Resolution co-sponsors have worked to ensure the U.S. continues to recognize the importance of native plants to the overall health of our ecosystem.

Thanks to Almost Home Dog Rescue, and with the help of a grant from Ohio Animal Foundation, senior rescue dogs have the resources they need to give them a chance at a fuller life.
